Congratulations, Nancy! You will certainly be missed at the library. We've lived in Avon Lake since 1991 and the library has been like a second home to every member of our family. As frequent library users, we've often been met by your smile and we will certainly miss that! We wish you all the best on your retirement!

This is truly a beautiful poem, and one of my favorites. My husband is a big fan of e.e.cummings, and introduced me to his work when we first started dating, about 18 years ago. He remains my favorite poet. Good eye, Cheryl!!! It’s obvious that you have a deep and honest respect and appreciation for true love!

Wow, Cheryl!!!! You’re quite well-read! I had never heard of “Jabberwocky” until my husband recited it to me when we first met & started dating. Keep up the good work & fantastic contributions! This is why I love Avon Lake, and think we have one of the best libraries in the area!!!!!

No matter where my love for poetry takes me--and what bizarre places it has taken me--I don't think that I will ever lose my love for Frost, and this poem in particular.

Wonderful post! I came across it on one of my regular Internet scans for all things connected to John Magee and his famous poem High Flight. I am producing a movie based on the life of Magee - it's a wonderful story.

You might tell Sharron that the original letter that contains the poem High Flight is stored at the Library of Congress. If one were to call the head of the Manuscript department there and ask her if she knows about the poem High Flight, she would certainly respond in the affirmative.

High Flight has been an inspirational poem for millions of people, pilots and non-pilots alike. In many aspects, High Flight is a spiritual poem, one that describes the joys of leaving the earth and dancing in the skies. Who doesn't want to do that?

Keep up the great work!
